Thought of the day; Can't I pee in peace?

I miss being able to go to the bathroom by myself, or taking a shower without a little face pushed up through the curtain!!! I just want 2 minutes by myself!!! If i close the door I have a little person standing at the door crying. he tries to stand up on me while i am sitting on the toilet! It was not in the mommy handbook that you have NO privacy after giving birth. Those who are about to give birth beware!! Take long baths, take your time peeing with out someone right there. Enjoy it!!!

  1. I remember that stage! :) My only advice is to enjoy the fact that he wants to be with you and loves his mommy! He will soon hit an independent stage and get frustrated with anything you do for him...and when he hits the teen years will have his own life and just want to get away from you and you'll long for the days when he was underfoot all the time. Each stage of parenting (for the rest of your life) will have it's frustrations, challenges and REWARDS! Hugs to you and the little man. :)

  2. Whenever I take a shower or go to the bathroom and really need a lot of privacy I'll stick Easa in his crib for a little bit. It doesn't hurt them and gives them the ability to teach themselves to entertain themselves. If he cries the whole time, he'll be fine. Crying never hurt anyone. I had the worst time leaving him by himself in his crib he would scream and I would give in but after a while he would slowly start to calm down more and more and now when I put him in he'll sing to himself or play with his stuffed animals. We all need alone time sometimes, even the kids. It's important they know how to depend on you, but it's also important for their development to be able to play on their own, too.

  3. yah... glad to know that someone else has issues leaving them alone. I do try to let him cry in his playpen until he plays but it really is hard!!
