Baby Genius? I think so!

Today I really enjoyed watching Asher problem solve and show off how smart he is. I'd ask him "Asher, Where's your tractor?" and he'd turn and look at it and i'd say "get your tractor" and he would crawl over and start playing with it. and then we were sittin in our bedroom and he was trying to play with Ryan's Iphone charger and I kept saying "no!" he would cry and do it again and after the 5th time he crawled to his room and got his cord(an old ipod charger that doesn't work) and brought it in the room to play with and then the little booger tried to switch it with daddy's cord. And then he was playing with the door, opening and closing it, when he closed it too far to where he couldn't open it. then he stood up and tried to turn the door knob! He is so smart! Bias? Well, Maybe :)

Head problems??

Does anyone else worry about their child's mental status? I mean Asher leads with his head in everything he does, crawling, falling, trying to sit... He has hit his head so much that I worry that he will be permanently damaged :( Any suggestions??

never wanted a mama's boy...but boy did i get one

So the last few days my son has been the most clingy baby ever!! but only to me:( I love him but if i even go out of eyesight he starts crying. He also is standing on his own but he realizes he's doing it and then he sits down; now keep in mind not fall down but really slowly sit. He also will take a few steps which is exciting. um... not much to write today... procrastinating the laundry... better get to it

Always bad?? Well not always....

I know that i've been posting the negative about parenthood but the last 2 days have really been full of moments that make the bad and frustrating all worth while. I love the fact that my son will lay his head on my shoulder and place It also seems like he is learning some of the things we say no no to. He hands me the remotes when i say no, like he's saying well i was just going to hand it to you mom. LOL I love my baby! Also I have had the opportunity to help a fellow new mom with some things that I have learned along the way!! Amanda if you are reading this, you are doing an amazing job!!! I am glad i decided to do this. I think that us moms have so much to learn and teach eachother. Each child is different but if you can take some things from some moms and make it your own so feel free to post questions, answers, opinions, anything really! :)

Thought of the day; Can't I pee in peace?

I miss being able to go to the bathroom by myself, or taking a shower without a little face pushed up through the curtain!!! I just want 2 minutes by myself!!! If i close the door I have a little person standing at the door crying. he tries to stand up on me while i am sitting on the toilet! It was not in the mommy handbook that you have NO privacy after giving birth. Those who are about to give birth beware!! Take long baths, take your time peeing with out someone right there. Enjoy it!!!

Why I decided to blog about this...

A little bit of history before we get to the down and dirty:) I had Asher on May 21, 2010. He was 8lbs 3oz and 20 3/4in long. He was an amazing baby! We never had any issues with bedtime at night, or anything really. He started sleep through the night 12hrs at about 4 months old. He started crawling at 8 1/2 months. Pulling himself up and walking around furniture 9 1/2 months. No binkie or bottle at 9 months. He says Mama, Dada, Bye bye, night night, ball. hmm.. what else can i tell you about him? He is into everything? He doesn't get the concept of No. I feel like we are in the terrible twos at 10months old. He will look at you and instead of grabbing on the tv or the remotes or things you've told him no about he slowly touches them with just one finger! He yells back at you in baby babble when you tell him no. Ryan(my husband) and I have tried a swat on the diaper, light slap on the hand, and saying no and of course distracting him with HIS toys; nothing has been working! I am going nuts! So I decided to write this blog to let out my frustration in a constructive way and well say the things that some moms feel like they're alone and are afraid to say like my child is driving me crazy and I just wanna scream. Perfect example right now, my son just stood up on the entertainment center and i said no no and he looks at me while putting his hand on our TV. So other moms or dads or big sisters brothers, aunts, uncles... HELP ME!! :)
